This policy explains how robertechevarria.com collects and uses information. It applies to the website, its article archive, and The Dark Factory newsletter signup form.

When you join The Dark Factory, we collect your email address, your name if you choose to provide it, your consent to receive the newsletter, and the date and source of that consent.
2. Information collected automatically
We collect limited technical and usage information when you visit, including:
- Pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, and links clicked.
- Browser, device, and approximate location information.
- The page or campaign that referred you, including UTM parameters when present.
- Security and delivery information processed by our hosting provider.
3. How we use information
We use this information to send The Dark Factory to people who asked for it, maintain subscription and suppression records, understand which articles and channels are useful, protect the site from abuse, and improve the website and newsletter.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Cookies and analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and interactions. Google Analytics may place cookies such as _ga in your browser. You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies should not prevent you from reading the site or joining the newsletter.
5. Service providers
We use service providers to run the site and newsletter. They process information only for the work they perform:
- Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Google Analytics for website measurement.
- Supabase for the subscription and consent record.
- Resend for newsletter contacts and email delivery.
These providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
6. Retention and security
We keep a subscription record while you are subscribed and retain limited suppression records after an unsubscribe, bounce, or complaint so we do not send mail you did not ask for. We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your email address. Some records may be retained when needed to honor an opt-out, protect the service, or meet a legal obligation.
8. Children
This site and newsletter are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the site or its data practices change. The effective date above will show the latest revision.
